The River Shrimp is a common name of feeding shrimp. They are found in estuary’s and venture up rivers. They need brackish or salt water to survive longer. These shrimps are offered as live food, not as shrimps to keep in your tank for long period. If you have predatory fish like larger cichlids, channa, puffers, large wild betta, etc. then they are a nutritious food for them and a good bit of fun to chase about. Feeding live River Shrimp is a great way to get any of the larger freshwater or marine fish to feed. Some people say that this shrimp can be kept in full marine setup, where they reproducing, though we have never tried to breed them ourselves. All River Shrimps offered here are wild caught. The shrimps are quarantined and safe to feed your fish. Keep them in very well aerated tank in cool conditions, preferably outdoors. Change water every 2 – 3 days.
